Abstract

The present article deals with a survey carried out in two schools in the city of Olinda, one with the highest grade in the evaluation of the Brazilian Portuguese language test and another with the lowest grade in the year 2015. The research was divided into a first phase where it was a documentary analysis was carried out through the school's political pedagogical project (PPP), class diaries, meeting minutes and so on. as well as in a second moment were conducted questionnaires with the teaching staff. According to the teachers' speech, the evaluation process proposed by PB does not evaluate the learning process as a whole, being far from what the literature tells us. According to the teachers' impressions, we can conclude that, in the way that the Brazil Test is formulated, applied and in the way the results are presented, it does not fulfill its primary objective which is, from its results, to help the school community to establish goals and implement pedagogical and administrative actions aimed at improving the quality of teaching.
