Abstract

The topic of research, urban security, has been developed thanks to the United Nations program for human settlements (HABITAT) and that involves the individual rights of each citizen, such as the urban development of the city and the risk factors that generate insecurity and that when implementing it, it is intended to have safer cities, with urban spaces for families, fostering social cohesion among its inhabitants.This research aims to achieve, analyze the incidence of urban security as governance, this research is a qualitative approach, based on personal experience, with a sample of 9 people divided into three groups, defined according to the needs of the district This is how the following groups were held: from neighbors, professionals and authorities. It is justified because this research will study the problems of the city in a global way, not only taking into account the criminal factors, mechanisms will be sought at the same time considering territorial aspects of urban development, which will help to reduce the perception of urban insecurity of each citizen. In conclusion with this investigation, urban security is not only violent acts or crimes in the city, but is related to the responsibility of institutions that seek the common good from the participation of citizens, seeks to generate a safer city to co-ordinate the problems associated with the types of insecurity; and from public policies to look for a safe city from public spaces that encompass economic, global forces of social, public interest, as well as that must respond to the need for a peaceful coexistence.
