In the northwest of Mexico there is one of the most important ethnic communities in Latin America. This is the Mennonites, a group characterized by their determination to self-manage to avoid the influence of the outside. Throughout their stay in the area that is already close to the century, Mennonites have maintained their original cultural features, clothing, language, religion and value system. They have achieved this thanks to the control of basic education and, in recent decades, the creation of alternative communication tools to the prevailing media system in the area. This study intends to approach Mennonite radio as an alternative form of communication for the community and has allowed them to preserve their identity and train new generations according to their idiosyncrasy. The main objective is to know the history and distinguish the main current features of Mennonite radio. The research strategy is through the interview with primary sources of information and the case study to determine the importance of this media in preserving the cultural features and value system of a minority community.
